I was told I neglected to talk about food on my last post. While on our own in the Jewish quarter we ate in another wonderful restaurant. We had goose pate and escargot for appetizers. I had duck confit over carmelized pears in this incredible sauce. We shared a delightful bottle of wine The food on the trip has been very tasty but not very Polish. Today they said we will get more ethnic cuisine. I am doing great. My back and knee are doing fine. I have definitely been doing much walking. Here are my step counts for the past week: 8726, 22542,12761,15338,11957,17211.
Last night they took us to another restaurant in the Jewish quarter and we got entertained by a kletzmer band. We had salmon with something close to a latke and also a delicious chicken soup with a dumpling close to a matzo ball. Here is a picture of the band.
