In Boston, on my way home

I had a wonderful trip to Central Europe. I have many thoughts about the trip. It was obvious that the countries that I visited are dealing with some of the same problems that we have here. For example, a nationalist movement that has elected right wing governments, an immigration problem and income inequality. However I didn’t see the level of homelessness and beggars that we have here.

In Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic we talked about the holocaust and visited memorials. Not so in Austria. I do not think Austria is willing to look at it’s complicity in the holocaust.

I had a wonderful time traveling with my college roommate, Regina. We had lots of laughs and memorable experiences.

Here is a picture of the two of us taken in Prague.
