First day in San Juan, Costa Rica

We arrived late last night, so we got to sleep in this morning. Zoe has spent a lot of time in the swimming pool. I was able to get her out long enough to walk to downtown San Juan to taking in some of the sites. We went to the central market where we had lunch. We ate at a restaurant counter in the market so it was fairly authentic food and not too exciting. The market was very crowded and just about anything you could imagine was for sale. It was like the markets you find in the Middle East and other places in the world. It did rain very heavily after we got back to the hotel. We’ve been told that it rains like this every day. It should be very interesting tomorrow because we’re going to a rainforest.

  1. Any explanation as to why a store in Costa Rica is named Jerusalem of Costa Rica? If you find any angels made by local artists, small ones, I would LOVE one!
