First full day in Canada

Janet, Jess and I charted a fishing boat out of Sooke for the afternoon. We left the guys and the kids home to do the grocery shopping and dinner cooking. Here are the pictures taken while we were out on the Juan de Fuca Strait fishing. Unfortunately most of the fish were too small to keep. Three that were the right size were wild salmon which are illegal to keep. So we only wound up with one hatchery salmon which we brought home. We also caught four crab.

We had a welcoming committee as we pulled into our slip. They were very anxious for us to clean our salmon.
