On my way to Germany and Israel

I am currently in Frankfurt, visiting my friend Tamar and her partner Rafi. We will be going to Worms on Sunday. Worms has a rich Jewish heritage. The scholar Rashi studied in worms. On Tuesday, I fly to Israel to join the Melton Solidarity tour. We will be visiting with soldiers, survivors of October 7, families of hostages and evacuees from the North. We will have a number of volunteer activities, including making furniture for evacuees, cooking and packing meals, and helping out at an organic farm. After this tour is over, I will be staying on in Jerusalem for about four days before going to Boston.

  1. Glad to hear you made it. I just heard a story from a friend of mine about being in Israel with a group of Israelis, all of whom were talking about the political situation and crisis in Gaza. He was astounded that the Israelis really listened to what he had to say with respect. To a person all were respectful of his perspective as an American. I think that is most interesting! Have fun and do good things. Enjoy Worms and give Rashi my regards🙄
