Today we made our way to the Ngorongoro crater, making a stop at a village to learn something about the way of life in these villages. This village had rice patties and banana plantations. People own their houses and individual plots of land. They grow a number of varieties of bananas and one of the varieties is used to make banana beer. We were fed a delightful lunch.

Next step was a coffee plantation where we learned how they process the coffee beans. We got a taste of the coffee, which was quite delicious.

Next we visited a family to learn more about the culture practices of the people. We learned about marriage customs.

At Ngorongoro, our lodge is on the crater rim. Here are some pictures taken from our room.
