This day we left our Safari camp in Kenya and traveled to Arusha, Tanzania. Basically, we had to travel again through the national park and then cross the border. In Tanzania, we stopped and visited an elementary school.

The next set of pictures were taken once we were outside the park. It shows local villages.

We visited an elementary school in Tanzania. School is free, but the students have to purchase uniforms and stuff. That makes it difficult for some students. We went to an English classroom where students were ranging in age from about 8 to 10. Students can start school at any age so you could have in grade one students that are 10 years or older. When the students first arrive at school, they clean the school. They are fed lunch. There is not a lot of elective classes. Just basic subjects are taught. We got to spend time with some of the students. They really didn’t speak much English. But they were able to tell me their names and ages. They were fascinated with pictures of my cats. Class size was ridiculously large.
